This blog is officially retired.  If you came here seeking the best Tripawds nutrition articles we have published since 2009, keep reading. Below is a list of the ten things we think every pet parent needs to know about nutrition for amputee cats and dogs.

Why is this blog retired? Because pet nutrition information on the Internet has exploded in popularity since we began the Tripawds Nutrition blog. Many great science-based resources are now at our fingertips (included below for your reference). Hi my 10 yr old Rotty has a torn ligament he’s had it for awhile the vet gave 3 choices operate $4000 chop leg off $2000 or put him down cheaper than both I had him to be put down but to me he still has life in him n he’s my big baby I couldn’t my kids reckon operate I think chop what do you purpose or suggest it’s his right back leg will he be able to get up n down lately on of course it wouldn’t be straight away what does it involve for him ? if operated how long to heal ? What’s involved in that ? I think chop off pain gone just rehabilitation for him to learn to walk again ? I really don’t know but I know I have to work fast please help thankyou
