Free Honest Kitchen Dog Food Samples for Readers

Tripawds Spokesdawg Wyatt Ray will eat anything. But while his taste buds may approve of whatever goes down, oftentimes his intestines disagree. Thank Dog for Honest Kitchen.

Wyatt Recommends Honest Kitchen Embark Dehydrated Dog Food

Will Embark Work for Sensitive Wyatt?

Wyatt’s feeding routine is always a juggling act of homebrew dog food, premium grain-free kibble and occasional raw meat and bones.

Honest Kitchen Embark Dehydrated Dog Food Free SamplesWhenever we change his routine (which is recommended to prevent allergies from over-exposure to specific ingredients), we’re always nervous about how new foods will affect his system. Oftentimes we’ll all pay the price for many days after introducing a new ingredient.

We already knew about Honest Kitchen’s high quality, human grade ingredients when we fed it to Spirit Jerry once his appetite waned while battling cancer, but feeding it to Mr. Sensitive Belly was really going to put it to the test.

We wanted to know: would Honest Kitchen live up to its promises? The company says that:

“72% of Honest Kitchen customers report that their pets enjoy improved digestion when they consume Honest Kitchen products.”

Wyatt Has His Say

Wyatt couldn’t keep his paws off the box, he could smell the goodness before he even opened it. There was no doubt: he knew it was good stuff.

Even the experts agree that Honest Kitchen lives up to its promises:

  • All ingredients are chosen directly from the human food chain
  • humans actually taste every ingredient that goes into our recipes, as part of our product development process
  • every lot of raw ingredients is certified to be clear of salmonella, E-coli, coliform, lead, arsenic, mercury, melamine, yeast and mold & pesticide residues  Learn more

Honest Kitchen Embark Dehydrated Dog Food Free SamplesAfter one week of adding “Embark” to Wyatt’s feeding routine, we’re hoppy to report that he has had no digestion problems whatsoever. His waste is bouncy and firm and no other signs of gastrointestinal or allergic reactions have appeared.

We’re truly impressed with Honest Kitchen’s food. If it was going to upset Wyatt’s stomach, we would have known it by now.

What a relief to find a high quality food that works for him. Now we can’t wait to try Honest Kitchen’s other sample of Zeal, a grain and gluten-free, fish-based formula made for moderately active dogs with sensitive stomachs.

  1. “My Tripawd needs to try a new dog food because…”
…because he already has a huge strike against him as a cancer patient. To enable Dakota to become a cancer survivor, he needs a new diet, one with few carbs and lots of protein. So it sounds like Honest Kitchen’s foods would give Dakota a let up going from a cancer patient to a cancer survivor.

  2. Wooooohoooo!!!!!!!!!! I’m soooo happy that Wyatt’s belly approves! I add additional raw meat to Maggie’s Honest Kitchen…drops the carbs down even lower 🙂 She’s trying out the new Zeal formula right now and LOVES it!

    Tracy, Maggie’s Mom

  3. My Tripawd needs to try a new food because Lulu is such a happy girl! She does not let being a tripawd stop her from anything! She runs and even digs with her one front leg. She is amazing and we love her so much. Thank you!

  4. “My Tripawd needs to try a new dog food because…”
…she’s trying to keep her trim figure to make it easier to get around. She keeps telling people, “I’m not handicapped, I’ve just got three legs.”

“My tripawd needs to try a new dog food because”…
Variety is the spice of life!. Sometimes Casey is just plain bored. His no-grain diet has been a challenge to his sensitive tummy. Pizza would make him happy, but alas, he can only have the top ingredients.

  6. Thanks everyone! Jerry will be sending details for getting your free samples soon.

    Keep those comments coming! 🙂

  10. Isabelle doesn’t need a new food, because she eats raw…She can however testify ( we used to travel w/Honest Kitchen when she was Tracking) that eating 3lbs of it dry, only makes a dog thirsty, & not at all sick!

  11. Gypsy, and Jock have tried everything and like none of it for long and it makes them ill. I would like to feed them a very good food and snacks since they are older. Both were rescues, Gypsy is now 10, and Jock is 11- with no teeth. Please help, because I want them around a long time to come. Thank you.

  12. Gutted. After being told I was able to get one of the free samples for my entry, I’ve just recieved an email to say they will not post me anything to Ireland. :o( Poor effort as the competition didn’t state that it was open to Americans only.

  13. Sorry for the inconvenience Evie!

Honest Kitchen did not inform us about this restriction when they offered to send out the free samples to our readers. Otherwise we would have clearly indicated such in the original post. They have since explained their inability to legally export the foods due to customs regulations restricting international delivery of meat products without USDA license.

  14. My Tripawd needs to try a new dog food because… she is 15 years old, and suffered a terrible diet (when fed) and abuse before she was rescued. Now she is spry and happy in her new home.
She had to have all but 4 of her teeth removed, and the infection had gone to her sinuses, so she needs something that is easy for her to eat.
    Thank you. PT

  21. My tripawd needs to try a new dog food because- she needs a dog food that is healthier than Purina Sensitive. More importantly, her 4 legged companion is a stone former and he HATES the Science Diet UD food (I dont mind spending $$$$ on dog food but it kills me to throw it out). If you have something he can eat I would become a lifelong customer!

  36. I’ve never tried Honest Kitchen anything!!!

  37. We have 4 shelties ranging in ages 9 yrs to 7 months, ALL on different diets, ALL rescued with issues. One for a sensitive stomach, a puppy, a stable one(for now) and the most costly one is taking Royal Canin for bladder crystals. Whew!!
I need one or two delicious meals for all of them.

  38. My tripawd needs to try a new dog food because…I am tired of searching for the perfect food for my 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. 44. My Tripawd needs to try a new dog food because… our boy is 13-and-a-half and was recently diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy (no cure). With the difficulty his body is presenting, he has lost all interest in his regular meals of Wellness and a few TBSP of canned food! We want to try a new, healthy food mixed with his kibble to keep him eating, enjoying his regular forest-excursions as much as possible, and with us for one last glorious summer, if not a little bit longer (fingers crossed).

  47. My Tripaw needs to try a new dog food because he is so picky about his food. He often skips meals even when we make it more appealing with bits of chicken or cheese. I would live to find a dog foos that he would enjoy eating and provided quaulity nutrition.

  48. We’ve been trying to switch over to raw meat mixed with ground up vegetables, but it has to be organic meat. We don’t eat a lot of meat ourselves, but know the dogs need it; however it is just too expensive. I’m just really tired of the burned out bags of nothingness that we buy all the time! I know there is a better choice and I think you guys have found it.
